Configure Catalogue V3 Settings
Catalogue V3 settings control behaviour that affects the guest ordering experience beyond catalogue content. Use this page when a manager needs to review order success redirects, kiosk behavior, and global catalogue settings before publishing.
Quick Reference
| Setting | Use It For | What To Check |
|---|---|---|
| Order success redirect | Sending guests to another URL after the success page. | Redirect URL, delay, and whether guests still have time to read the success message. |
| Kiosk mode | Shared-device ordering where guests should end the session after checkout. | End-session action, redirect URL, and no access to previous guest order history. |
| Catalogue settings | Operational defaults and labels used by Catalogue V3. | Match the property workflow before publishing. |
| Tags and labels | Staff or guest labels used to identify catalogue behavior. | Labels are clear and do not duplicate existing terms. |
Before You Start
- Confirm whether guests order from personal devices, shared tablets, or kiosks.
- Confirm any redirect URL with the property owner.
- Confirm that order history should be visible or hidden for the intended flow.
- Test settings in a guest link before using them live.
Configure Order Success Redirect
- Open the catalogue or Catalogue V3 settings page.
- Enable order success redirect only when guests should leave the success page automatically.
- Enter the redirect URL.
- Set a delay that gives guests enough time to read their order result.
- Save and place a test order.
- Confirm the success page appears first, then redirects to the intended page.
Use redirects for intentional handoffs, such as returning guests to a hotel page, survey, or campaign page. Do not use redirects to hide unclear order failures.
Configure Kiosk Mode
Use kiosk mode for shared devices where guest order history should not remain visible to the next user.
- Open the catalogue settings.
- Enable kiosk mode for the catalogue.
- Configure the end-session redirect URL if the property uses one.
- Save and place a test order.
- Confirm the guest sees the end-session action instead of order history.
- Confirm ending the session clears the previous guest context before the next order.
Global Setting Checks
Before go-live, confirm:
- Settings match the catalogue's fulfillment and payment flow.
- Redirect URLs are approved and reachable.
- Kiosk mode is enabled only for shared-device flows.
- Guest-facing labels are translated where required.
- Staff know how guest behavior changes when settings are enabled.
Troubleshooting
Guest is redirected too quickly
What you see: The order success page appears briefly or guests cannot read their confirmation.
Do this:
- Open the order success redirect setting.
- Increase the redirect delay.
- Confirm the redirect URL is still correct.
- Place another test order.
Guest can see a previous order on a shared device
What you see: A kiosk or shared tablet shows an earlier guest's order context.
Do this:
- Confirm kiosk mode is enabled for that catalogue.
- Confirm the end-session action was used after the order.
- Confirm the kiosk redirect URL is correct.
- Do not use the device for guests until the flow is retested.
