Set Up Facility Categories

Facility categories group bookable facilities and activities so staff and guests can find the right option.

Quick Reference

Before You Start

  • Confirm the property list of bookable facilities and activities.
  • Confirm the category names guests and staff will understand.
  • Confirm whether any category should be hidden at launch.

Create a Category

  1. Go to Facility Booking -> Category.
  2. Create a parent category or subcategory.
  3. Enter the name and visible details.
  4. Set active or visible state according to the launch plan.
  5. Save the category.
  6. Confirm it appears when creating or editing a facility.

Edit or Retire a Category

  1. Open the category list.
  2. Select the category.
  3. Update the name, parent, or active state.
  4. Save changes.
  5. Confirm existing facilities still appear in the expected group.

Troubleshooting

Category is missing when creating a facility

What you see: Managers cannot select the category they need.

Do this:

  1. Confirm the category exists.
  2. Confirm it is active.
  3. Confirm the category is in the correct parent or subcategory level.
  4. Refresh the facility create page.
