Manage Categories and Subcategories

Categories and subcategories decide how guests browse items inside a catalogue.

Before You Start

  • Create the catalogue first.
  • Confirm the item grouping with operations.
  • Confirm guest-facing labels and order.

Create Categories

  1. Open the catalogue.
  2. Go to category management.
  3. Add the category name and guest-facing details.
  4. Set active state and sort order.
  5. Save changes.

Add Subcategories

  1. Open the parent category.
  2. Add the subcategory.
  3. Enter visible name and details.
  4. Save changes.
  5. Confirm items can be assigned to the correct category or subcategory.

Troubleshooting

Items appear in the wrong group

What you see: Guests see an item under the wrong category.

Do this:

  1. Open the item setup.
  2. Check assigned category and subcategory.
  3. Check category sort order.
  4. Save and refresh the guest view.
