Manage the Room Status Queue
The room status queue helps housekeeping teams move rooms from dirty or in-progress states to ready states for arrivals and room turnover.
Quick Reference
| State | What It Means | What To Do |
|---|---|---|
| Dirty or pending | Room needs cleaning or review. | Assign or start housekeeping work. |
| In progress | Staff is working on the room. | Monitor progress and update when complete. |
| Clean or ready | Room is ready for the next operational step. | Inspect or release according to property process. |
| Blocked | Room cannot be completed yet. | Add notes and escalate to the responsible team. |
Before You Start
- Room setup must exist for the property.
- Staff should know which section or room list they own.
- Managers should confirm the property process for clean, inspected, and ready states.
Update Room Readiness
- Go to HOME -> Room Status Queue.
- Filter by floor, section, room type, or status if needed.
- Select the room that needs an update.
- Review notes, assignment, and current status.
- Update the room status according to the completed work.
- Save the change and confirm the room moves to the expected queue.
Manager Checks
- Review rooms needed for arrivals first.
- Check blocked rooms before the end of shift.
- Use assignment data to rebalance staff workload.
