Notifications Not Working
Use this page when staff do not receive expected notifications for requests, tasks, bookings, or operational updates.
Symptom Table
| Symptom | Common Cause | First Check |
|---|---|---|
| No browser notifications | Browser permission is blocked. | Check browser notification permission. |
| One staff member misses alerts | Staff account or role issue. | Confirm role and property. |
| Whole team misses alerts | Notification setup or module issue. | Check whether records appear in the module list. |
| Notification arrives late | Network, device, or browser state. | Refresh and check the source record. |
| Notification is not in history | Date, segment, or module filter is hiding it. | Check the notification center filters. |
| Staff cannot open notification filters | Browser is offline or the staff member lacks access. | Reconnect and confirm staff access. |
What To Check
- Confirm the staff member is logged in.
- Confirm the selected property is correct.
- Confirm browser notifications are allowed.
- Confirm the source record exists in the related list.
- Confirm staff has access to the module.
- Check whether another staff member receives the notification.
HOME Notification Centers
Managers can use the HOME notification center to review alert history. The manager view supports date selection, pagination, and segment filters for tasks, room assignments, In-house Store, Lost & Found, and DM Log when those modules are enabled.
Staff can open notifications from the room attendant flow. The staff view supports notification tabs such as All, Tasks, Room Assignments, and Lost & Found, depending on module settings and the staff member's role.
Use notification history when a staff member says an alert was missed. First confirm the related task, room assignment, Lost & Found report, or DM Log item exists, then check whether the notification is hidden by date or segment filters.
Offline Or Device Checks
- If HOME is offline, notification filters and navigation actions may be disabled.
- If a staff member changes browser or device, browser notification permission may need to be allowed again.
- If notifications appear in HOME history but not as browser alerts, check browser permission before changing module setup.
- If no one receives notifications, check module setup and source records before escalating.
Escalate To Support
Contact support if:
- The record exists but no staff member receives notifications.
- Notifications stopped for more than one module.
- Browser permission is allowed but notifications never appear.
- Notification history shows errors or missing records after filters are cleared.
