Create, Assign, and Complete Tasks

A task should clearly describe the work, owner, priority, due time, and completion result.

Before You Start

  • Confirm the task type exists.
  • Confirm the assigned staff member is active.
  • Confirm room or location details are correct.

Create a Task

  1. Go to HOME -> Tasks.
  2. Click Create or the equivalent add action.
  3. Select the task type.
  4. Add room, location, priority, due time, and notes.
  5. Assign the task to the correct staff member or team.
  6. Save the task.

Complete a Task

  1. Open the assigned task.
  2. Review instructions and notes.
  3. Update the status when work starts.
  4. Add completion notes if required.
  5. Mark the task complete.
  6. Confirm the task no longer appears as open.

Troubleshooting

Staff completed work but the task is still open

What you see: The work is done, but the task board still shows the task as open.

Do this:

  1. Open the task details.
  2. Check whether the status was saved.
  3. Check whether required completion fields are missing.
  4. Refresh the board.
