Auto-assignment helps managers send tasks to the right staff member or team based on configured rules.

Before You Start

  • Staff and teams should be set up.
  • Task types should be configured.
  • Managers should agree on fallback handling for unassigned work.

Use Auto-Assignment

  1. Review task auto-assignment settings.
  2. Confirm the task type is included in the rule.
  3. Confirm eligible staff or teams are active.
  4. Create or receive a task that should be auto-assigned.
  5. Check the task board to confirm the owner was assigned.
  6. Reassign manually if the rule does not match the situation.

Troubleshooting

Task remains unassigned

What you see: A task was created, but no owner was assigned.

Do this:

  1. Confirm the task type is covered by an auto-assignment rule.
  2. Confirm eligible staff are active.
  3. Check room, section, or location mapping.
  4. Assign the task manually if work is urgent.
