Configure Facility Booking Settings
Global Facility Booking settings affect behavior across categories, facilities, bookings, guest confirmation, notifications, and customer identity rules.
Quick Reference
| Setting | Use It For | What To Check |
|---|---|---|
| Channels | Controls booking channels available to staff or guests. | Enabled channels match operations. |
| Booking hold time | Controls how long a booking hold remains available. | Hold time is long enough for payment or staff handling. |
| Privacy policy | Shows global policy text during guest booking. | Policy title and content are approved. |
| Notification block | Controls whether certain notifications are blocked. | Blocking matches property support expectations. |
| Customer ID | Controls customer identity requirements where used. | Guest flow and staff booking flow collect the expected identifier. |

- Review notification block settings.
- Configure Customer ID behavior if the property uses it.

Policy Checks
Guest-facing policy should be clear before go-live:
- Policy title is understandable.
- Policy text matches approved property wording.
- Guests can read the policy before confirming.
- Facility-specific terms and global policy do not contradict each other.
Troubleshooting
Guest does not see expected policy
What you see: Guest booking flow does not show the expected privacy or policy text.
Do this:
- Check global Facility Booking settings.
- Check facility-specific terms and policy settings.
- Confirm the facility was saved after policy changes.
- Refresh the guest booking flow.
Booking hold expires too quickly
What you see: Guests or staff lose a booking hold before completing payment or confirmation.
Do this:
- Review booking hold time in global settings.
- Confirm whether online payment is required.
- Adjust hold time only if it matches property policy.
- Test the booking and payment flow again.
